"Strivers Achieve What Dreamers Believe"
In February 2010, fifteen dancers, ages 9-15, formed “The Professionals Dance Crew” under the direction of choreographer, Jona Biddle. These dancers were a unique combination of classically trained and street dancers with diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Individually, they have attained industry success. These young dancers’ bios read like that of an adult professional. Their individual credits includes: International Benetton, & GAP campaigns, leading roles in feature films, music videos with Missy Elliot, WNBA, & NBA-NJ Nets, NY Knicks City Kids & Lil’ Torches dance teams, national commercials, Broadway Plays, Kidz Bop World Tour, Pulse Protégé, Monsters of Hip-Hop and Alvin Ailey scholarship recipients.
Jona Biddle, a successful artist and choreographer in his own right, noticed the dedication and passion of these young dancers and decided to create “The Professionals Dance Company” or “TPDC”, to offer a commercial development program, under HYPNOkidz, that is designed to provide dancers the demeanor, skills and poise necessary to succeed in the industry.
As a company, The Professionals dance style is a blend of Street Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Modern with a touch of Ballet. They train on a weekly basis while continuing their individual study at other dance schools such as Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey. The Professionals dancers have competed at various competitions, performed for red carpet events, televised performances, and concerts. In addition to commanding the stage and captivating all their audiences, the Professionals dancers live up to their name both on, and off the stage and dance floor.
“THE PROFESSIONALS DANCE COMPANY” is one of our dancers’ most exciting ventures as they encourage and inspire one another while having fun working as a team. The Professionals are a blend of passionate individual dancers who have come together to share their love of dance, entertaining and performing for audiences both large and small!
